So far (almost) comleted pieces of my yoroi: okegawa do, zunari kabuto and one sode. I am not satisfied with lacing as paracord proves to be too narrow but for first attempt i think it went pretty well. Any criticism is welcome. Cheers.

Looks very nice! You're right about the paracord, but it isn't so bad. It looks like you have the major shape down--how well can you move? Can you bend over and reach your arms in front of you without biting? Those tend to be the things that are most troublesome, usually by bringing the munaita up too high or having the whole thing be a bit too long on the torso, but it looks good from the pictures.

Well i tried all range of motion from getting up picking stuff from the ground, swinging wildly and noticed one thing. Watagami are bit wide. I hope it will be fixed by making and wearing tate-eri. What thrilled me most is a fact that you can put it on all by yourself. And here's sode i intended to put but somehow forgot. Cheers! Attachments:

Thanks for comments. Here's new update. Some work is still temporary and assembly is not final. So what do you think?

The depths of my envy knows no bounds, That is a pretty cool kit. being a fan of the riveted style of do, this makes me drool... And makes my urge to get off my butt and build mine stronger. Is it all metal?

Choice! Will the kusazuri be attached to the do or belt?

Managed to find some time to finish suneate and kusazuri. Had some trouble forming suneate since my legs are bit bulky but it turned out fine i think. Kusazuri seem a bit too dangly to me, i've read that they didnt have backing cloth but seems like a good idea to me. What do you people think since you got a lot more exp wearing these?

Very nice job! And I like the straw sandals, did you make them yourself?

Yes all made by myself. In my country there is like 0 people interested in samurai reenactment, so I think I'm first one i guess, which means i gotta make all stuff myself. Damn i wish there were more people interested as i would love to trade armor for other stuff...

Thanks, i used couple of youtube videos as instructions as every video skips kind of small details I combined couple of them. Method I used was with wood and nail jig. For material I bought hemp rope about 8mm in diameter composed of 3 smaller ropes which I unwound so I got 3 ropes about 5mm thick. As for length I cant recall but I bought 15m and all length was used, i think base takes about 2-3m and rest is weave piece.
Cheers!
