IIRC the plant used for high grade urushi is closer to the poison sumac, apples to oranges... they both can put a severe hurt on you. I know you can make blue urushi, but it takes metalic colorants from what I been told, and their use and introduction was post period. In period it seems there was only "organic" colorants used, the most frequent being charcoal and red clay/dirt (forgot the term) vegetable matter like indigo dissolves an looses all it's color when exposed to the toxic soup. -Takeda

What about kanmuri (the so-called cap of state)? I have yet to see anything information about them aside from the pictures on Eff's site, and I'd really like one to go with my sokutai.
