Shadow of Leaves is a Maryland based vendor of Japanese sword and armour supplies. I was able to meet with the owner when he came to our Nakamura-Ryu Battodo class at the Capital Area Budokai. He has a wide variety of equipment for the modern sword student, but what really caught my eye when going through his site was the armour and especially the armour fittings. He sells 10mm wide silk odoshi in 10m lengths for $68.00. He has many of the other bits--although only one style, it would seem--as well. I'm guessing this is meant to be armour repair goods, but I could just as easily see it used to make it in the first place. Some of the silk ito could also, possibly, be useful for hitatare ties and the like. -Ii
