Takeda did it over on SCA-JML, so let me say something here: This is a great buy for someone looking at constructing a Japanese name. The 'Little Pamphlet' is, iirc, over 400 pages of specialized information. Other books, such as Koop and Inada's work on names, tend to focus more on how to _read_ names, but this one actually gives you an idea of how they are created.
It covers all of the more common names, and many (most?) of the more obscure ones used in period. It even has a good selection of formal women's names, which, while not as extensive as men's names, is still one of the better sources out there (and I believe that most heralds will accept simply page numbers for reference).

And as USUAL, nobody remembers to mention where to get it! The information I have dates to 2004:
alban@socket.net
"No website. If people want to order the book, tell 'em to drop me an email - or drop a check in the mail, made out to Potboiler Press, for $42.50 (which includes shipping). The address is Ted Eisenstein PO Box 30171 Columbia, MO 65205 "(I'd appreciate an email first, if possible, so I know to check the box; it's 45 miles away . . . )

(The page numbers vary slightly) -Takeda

Noble Cousins! Greetings from Solveig! One would have to check with your individual kingdom submission herald to see if it is on the "no copy" list, but it is "no copy" for Laurel, just be sure to indicate which print date and if it is the revised edition. (The page numbers vary slightly) 1. The Revised Edition has more stuff in it as well has having slightly shifted page numbers. 2. The pamphlet is on the Laurel no-copy list.

Solveig-hime, Please stop referring to your work as a pamphlet. A 450 page volume, even in paperback is not a pamphlet. Be proud of it. Embrace its fact-stuffed virtues and pulpy mass. Call it - a BOOK.

Makiwara hime! Embrace its ... pulpy mass. Oh all right. But, it's not "pulpy". It's printed on acid-free paper.

I just e-mailed Potboiler Press and they are still offering the "pamphlet" (hehehe) for $42.95 and that includes shipping. Just give him and e-mail at the above stated address.

You should be able to order NCMJ from your local or online book seller starting Monday. The ISBN is 978-1-947401-00-6. Deliveries should commence 2017 JUN 23. As the book seller supply chain eats 55% of the cover price, that has gone up to $49.95. Local delivery at a somewhat different local price should be available in both Drachenwald and Locach through regular book sellers starting the same day. Anyone interested in selling NCMJ at Pennsic or Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium can arrange a discounted price by contacting me directly.

Greetings, For anyone looking to order in Australia, this is the cheapest source I've found and currently has a 19% sale on the book. Very odd. Both Angus & Robertson Bookworld and Booktopia claim that the RRP is $73.65 AUD, but it should actually be $66.95 AUD. They are both charging less than that. But, I wonder why they are overstating the RRP. Well, how about that? I received an answer to my enquiry in the middle of the night. Apparently the Australian version of RRP includes 10% GST. So, that works out to exactly $73.65.
