In a blatant effort to counteract the tea-cozy kabuto and and any other recent tackiness, I offer for your consideration: http: //cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250087588812 Now THIS is nifty.

I really love these too. I wonder how hard it would be to do a repeat like that in stamped or stencilled like you do on some of your cloths Makiwara-dono. Maybe I'll have to try it. What was the brand of fabric paint you recommended for doing silver or gold?

As it suits you to pick the brain of one who is dishonorable, I will answer. Lumiere fabric paints are available from www.dharmatrading.com as I have posted multiple times upon this board and mention in my web page.

Thanks I couldn't remember where I had seen that and couldn't remember find it I guess I should have tried your site for some reason I didn't think of it momentary lapses in judgement seem common around here as of late.
(and the dishonor has been delt with and I feel honor has been restored. hopefully you agree. I apologize for my harsh words)

There is a Search Module on this board near the top of your screen. Look for a magnifying glass. If you click on this it will take you to a window where you can input words or phrases and see if a topic has been discussed previously. Be sure to tell the Search Module how far back you want to search because it will default to a 7 day search.

Those are sooooo beautiful... me wants many similiar! Hideyoshi-dono, your grand and imposing height could make finding a suitable pair a bit of a challenge. For you and anyone else who is interested, you need to know length in inches from navel to ankle to determine ideal fit. Ichiro-ya, Yamatoku Classic and Japanantiques are three very reputable eBay sellers that I have dealt with in acquiring vintage textiles. Yamatoku Classic has a pair up for auction right now in black and gold jinken brocade: Length: 34.5 inches / 88 cm Width: 22.5 inches / 57 cm cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-KIMONO-Mens-Umanori-Hakama-Kikkou_W0QQitemZ220086474688QQihZ012QQcategoryZ29452QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Sonofab*tch, Makiwara-dono! How can you post links to eBay stores like that when I'm supposed to be saving for a helmet in a couple of years! Sigh. What do I need my brains for if I can look that good?

Sonofab*tch, Makiwara-dono! How can you post links to eBay stores like that when I'm supposed to be saving for a helmet in a couple of years! It's called prioritizing, my dear Honda-dono. Helmet FIRST. (How will you impress the girls with your poetry if your brains are pounded to mochi?) I can't buy any more vintage textiles either.* I want to be able to go to Pennsic this year. And I WANT TO GO! Besides, I thought you looked very sharp in the blue ensemble you posted a couple of weeks ago. tousando.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=1169240121*I am accepting applications if anyone wants to be my sugar daddy, however.

I feel your pain Yoshi-dono. Vintage japanese clothing and 6'6" tall do not go in the same sentence very well. I very commonly get nicknames like the wall or tree. from my waste to the floor is about 4'.
