(Dateline: Baile na Scolairi, 3/30/96) Chen Yung Ho (m/k/a Charles Jones) was elevated to the Chivary by Their Royal Majesties Tarquin and Aibhiin at the Royal Tournament of Chivalry March 30th, A.S. XXX. A most skilled fighter, deadly with his pole arm and buttspike, Chen-tzu took the Baldric of a Master of Arms in the elaborate ceremony. The procession was led by a Chinese dragon and drums. Chen and his lady, Lady Elayne, were resplendant in their new garb (created epecially for the ceremony). There was much applause when they entered the courtroom and marched to the dias. The baldric placed over his shoulder was first worn by Duke Master Moonwulf. From there it was used in the Peerage ceremonies for Count Master Corwyn Dragonstar and Master Einar Haakonsson. Says the new Master, "What big shoes to fill!" Following his elevation to the Peerage, a semi-rowdy postrevel was held at a local motel, complete with drinking, singing, and a "Mongolian Dance of Joy" conga line on the motel balcony. www.scolairi.org/Master.html

From an earlier Trimaris Crown: "But hey, the most fashionable statement that occurred all day - and let me tell you, it was quite the statement - Lord Yoan Moon Yang sported the uniquely fashioned garb of the Koreans, complete with a witch's hat abruptly cut off half way up. His hairstyle was appropriate too. I can't say that it was the most beautiful piece of clothing that I ever saw walk by me, but it was done well and according to the time period. Two snaps in a circle up for having the guts to wear it, Yoan!" www.thequarter.org/issue08/page03.php

Twice Queen's Rattan Champion, Captain of the Queens Guard, Chivalry advisor to the Queen's Guard, and former holder of the East Kingdom Shield of Chivalry. Former East Kingdom Earl Marshal, Former Warlord of the East Kingdom, and future resident of the Jersey Nervous Hospice. Like things the way the were and how they can be again. Can be found participating in various martial activities fighting, archery, fencing ,marshaling, fly fishing, and story telling. Have been known to make things (armor, furniture, weapons, and trouble) and to be a medieval rowdy, Among the members of the Brotherhood of St. Pyr, I'm known as Bro. John Spleen. Has cavorted as "Yo-Ta", a plankowner in the side order of the Hardys.....Like my troops stirred not shaken, commands simple, and Single Malt Scotch neat. A principal of House Full Circle. rustedwoodlands.eastkingdom.org/whoswho.htmlTanaka-dono is the person who invited me to my very first SCA event, therefore, technically everything that has happened to me since is HIS fault. He's also a Companion of the Order of the Great Self-Mutilating Sucker Bird, er, I mean Pelican. If y'all think I'm a nutcase, you ain't seen nuthin! Makiwara

I can find little of this knight except that he reigned with Evonne as the 19th Coronet of Drachenwald. I believe he currently resides in Northshield. One of his squires, Michael of Northwood, was elevated to knighthood. Ah, nope, not here. Prior to his reign in Drachenwald, he did live for a couple years in the Shire of Midewinde (Minot, ND), but hasn't lived here in at least 10 years, and probably more. I did see him once recently. It was while defending the castle at Pennsic. I called challenge to him immediately prior to being cut down by a whote lotta fighters. My best guess would be AEthemarc, according to this: www.boldo.com/gladique/Skragknight.html. As it has Rurik as Earl, it is likely fairly current. As well, www.rit.edu/~mjc5205/cgi-bin/rolls.cgi

Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono appears to have the honor of being the first Japanese squire of a Japanese knight to aquire the accolade himself. No, he was the second of my Samurai squires to be knighted. The first was Sir Kikuchi no Tsurunaga, who changed his persona to European (Sir Kai) when he moved to Atlantia. There is currently a competition among my squires to see who will be the third.

Sir Yoshina does live in AEthelmearc now, in the Delftwood/ Coppertree area I think. He began his SCA career (with me) in the Shire of Aachental (south of Rochester, NY) in what was then the East Kingdom. He's in Air Force and moves pretty frequently.
