Speaking of Mottos.. I found one that is very profound andm, amazingly enough, I got it from one of Sherrilynn Kenyon's Dark Hunter novels:
Death is a doorway. Think before you knock on it.

I figure I'm going to do one along the lines of the "my kid can beat up your honor student" ones and go with "My poet can beat up your champion" to make a long story short I was playing the L5R card game and my buddy used his crab clan champion to challenge my crane clan poet, usually my poet would be masacred but I focused way better cards and his champion lost by a good 3 points.

I knew it! The pen IS mightier than the Kaiu wall.

Well done. I've never played L5R, but I used to have one of the fiction books dealing with that. Looks like a fun game.

I was at an event this past weekend, and I have decided to do one just for the amusement of some of the late teens who are in the local barony. it started when one got onto a kink of "that's what she said" friday night... by sunday breakfast there seemed to be a chalange to out inuendo each other among them... with several of them being otaku from the best I can tell, I have decided it will amuse them to no end to have a tabletop nabori to put at thier table as a decoration durring feast either declaring "baka hentai" or "hentai bitto" (asuming I am remembering the phrasing correctly.)
and I am amaised t see my thread revived...
BTW Dianet, the hem you mentoned a page back... sounds like it would it right in here in meridies... our colors being black and white vertical stripes the skunk jokes are commonplace... I even recall a year some time back where the queen was presented with a basket containing a puppet of a "meridian kitty"

Well, my Helmet does bear a striking resemblance of being Skunked. Black with white stripe down the center. At Great Western War three years ago, I became...hehehe The Defender of Little Stinkers Everywhere... The reason being is that there were so many skunks around the year before, they had to have someone defending them. Ah the fun of being the only fighter on the field with *that* color of Helmet. Ah the joy, the thrill, the ability to duck and move when the fighters try to kill you.

I was wondering if someone could translate this into Kanji for me as my Japanese is pretty basic at the moment and I want to make a banner for a friend "Love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah"

In very small characters: "If you can read this, your head is MINE!" S. This actually reminds me of something I learned of the 300 Spartans who died at the sea cliffs in ancient Greece. One man painted a tiny fly on his shield. When asked "why just a tiny little fly?" He replied with something like, "because when we are in battle that fly is going to look like a monster to the enemy." Oh oh! I just thought of one. "I saw your father once. He was at the center of a head viewing." Sorry if my humor is a bit morbid.
