I was working on a few ideas for a Mon to use on banners and such, so here's what I'm thinking. I was planning to utilize a strawberry leaf motif (it's allowed by my current station in the SCA) and was I looking for some feedback. I like this one best myself but it does combine 2 charges. Sakura removed. Any comments?

Nothing wrong with 2 charges in Japanese mon...
the top looks more complete
If I were going just the strawberry leaf I would balance it somehow

OK good. I was worried about cluttering things up too much with a bunch of doo-dads. In the examples I was browsing through I was having trouble finding instances where there were 2 distinct charges that were separate from each other. If I was going to use the second version I would probably just elongate the middle leaf to fill things up a bit.

I like the first one better. The second one seems incomplete without the blossoms.

I just have a question about the significance of a strawberry leaf requiring a certain station to use. What level does one have to be and why is that?

Strawberry leaves (at least on coronets) are the prerogatives and symbol of ducal rank.

Noble Cousin!
Greetings from Solveig! While there are examples of more than one charge appearing in historical kamon, they are generally either structurally related or one charge is used to frame the other charge such as those in which something is placed inside a well frame. My first suggestion is to loose the flowers and just use the leaves.

I like that it's so clean and bold. I think re centering the design and extending the center leaf was a great idea.
