The Four Friends:
Bending at the waist,
A gentleman greets his friends,
three ancient scholars:
An archer, a lamentor,
and the one who must depart.
Okay, this one started as something cultured (I was thinking about the Four Gentlemen, initially), but turned into a bad pun. After all:
Pine boughs,
bamboo shoots,
plum wines,
and maple leaves...
Anyone else have contributions to the theme? Groups of four, whatever they may be.
