Talk about a great art book! This book is packed full of art depicting various historical scenes. The art and block prints are not the true value of this book, so much as all the ancient poems and info about the poets dating back to the likes of even the Heian court. If you are into historical Japanese Poetry this book as a must as it has info about poets, many famous poems, and insight into the famous poems included in this book.
