A&S for Estrella next year

I would love to camp with Rising Sun if you nice folks will have me, and Sou Rokurou as well. I need to figure out all the camping logistics, though -- haven't been seriously camping since ... erk. I don't wanna say that year, but let's just say I was still in Girl Scouts. (;

I think the category was an "anything preserved" category, pickles or preserves, but we'll see when the list comes back. And I'm definitely making it, for sure. It sounds GOOD. A lot of the recipes sound good, and I adore decoding old recipes. It'll be fun!

So-hime, the link is back up and your memory is better than mine: it's pickling AND preserving: "An item of food available in pre-17th century Western Europe that has been pickled or preserved through the process of fermenting used in the same time frame. The food and the pickling/preserving process will need to be kept within the same time frame and regional area for each entry. All entries will include a list of ingredients and presented in a ready to be sampled format." Having a Portuguese recipe from a Japanese cookbook, well, I think you could argue that it's within the rules. ;-D

I don't start poking people about Estrella War for months. Keep Great Western War in mind too (Columbus Day weekend in Taft, CA), that's a nice little war to use as a shake-down for your camping set-up. There's plenty of time. And if Yagyu-dono's in for Estrella, he's Mr. Camp Infrastructure.

And it was hard to pick something out of that album because there were some really nice photos.
