Some Tousando members are already customers of Japan Store, which is how we came to find out about the site. store.japan-zone.comWe are one of the few online stores selling products directly from Japan (Aichi prefecture) and shipping worldwide. Japan Zone was established in 1999 and the store has been going since 2003. We specialize in apparel, and in particular Japanese footwear (tabi, jikatabi, setta, zori, tabi socks). We have a small range of other products but we can supply ANY product that is available in Japan. If you don't find what you want on our store, drop us a line or repland we'll get it for you. For this kind of product search, we generally charge a flat fee of $15 or 10% of the product price, whichever is higher. In the last couple of years, we have supplied footwear products to several high-profile Hollywood movies that feature or are set in Japan. They include "The Wolverine" and "47 Ronin", which looks set to finally get a release at the end of this year. 47 Ronin, with Keanu Reeves in the lead, is not the most historically authentic depiction of medieval Japan.[/understatement] But who are we to turn away a paying customer?!

The bad news is that we need to update that product description because the Rikio Gemba Daiou is essentially being phased out and the velcro model is no longer being made. Rikio seem to be giving up on the safety type jikatabi altogether as they discontinued the Riki Safety model some time ago and have similarly stopped making most variations of the Gemba Daiou range (it came in several different colours and heights). The velcro closures on models like the Soukaido or the Marugo Magic Safety are of course not as subtle as they might be. If you want the streamlined look and the convenience, I'd suggest the Rikio Fastener or one of the Takesyo models. store.japan-zone.com/rikio-fastener-p-165.htmlstore.japan-zone.com/footwear-other-brand-jikatabi-c-3_61.htmlThe bad news is that we need to update that product description because the Rikio Gemba Daiou is essentially being phased out and the velcro model is no longer being made. Dang it, I need that re-enforced toe for fighting. I may have to scrounge up the cash soon and buy a few before you are out. Thanks for the coupon code, I'll definitely use it when I order.
