Greetings all,
Long time lurker here. I decided to make a post to see if anyone would be interested in commissioning wood working projects. I currently work at a custom wood working shop, where we can basically make anything. I don't have any pictures of my work currently, but if there is interest I could whip up some small projects pretty quickly and post pictures. So either post on this thread or PM me if interested. Thank you for your consideration.

I have a friend who keeps bugging me to make him a new armor box and a "Carry All" box that he wants to use as kind of a back pack. If you have some pics post them and I'll see if he is interested.

I'm hoping to have some pictures of the kabuto stand I'm making as an example within a week. I also forgot to mention before, that I actually specialize in finishing. So if anyone has a project they've built and want finished I'd do that too.

Or if anyone has questions feel free to ask. What's your preferred finish for things that have moving parts or are assembled with joinery but need to be dis-assemble-able?

For finished parts that are going to rub together frequently: In order to keep finish on your piece as long as possible, you want to reduce friction between the parts as much as possible. First off finish the piece with a finish that dries hard, such as shellac or laquer. Then what you can do is use either the paraffin canning wax you can get at walmart and rub it on the areas that are going to slide together. Then wipe of any chunks with a rag, paste wax that you can get from menards will also work.
For unfinished parts that are going to rub together frequently: Rub the high friction areas with paste wax, and wipe off any chunks with a rag.
For parts that need to dis-assemble, I would just use a finish that dries hard, the ones that dry tack can have a tendency to stick together and pull paint off. Pieces that just dis-assemble won't suffer nearly as much wear and tear, and don't really need a special finish. And scuff marks and such are easy to sand, and then recoat when needed.

My apologies for taking so long to repost. My family had to move suddenly. Unfortunately I have not had the time to make a japanese example of my work, but I do have some pictures of a coffee table I recently finished.

I also forgot to mention that I have experience painting metal. I can also do all kinds of effects. I will post some pics of some samples later today.

I apologize in advance if I am being redundant, but here is an overveiw of what I would like to/can do.
Through work I have the ability to make/finish almost anything, and being able to use all of the modern wood working tools I am able to produce quality pieces in a short amount of time. This allows me to charge a lot less for high quality work. Also, if you have a project you have built and want finished I will do that too, or anything that you would like refinished as well.
If anyone needs any building or finishing advice, I would love to be of assistance. If I don't know the answer, I probably work with someone who does.
I am working on putting together my kit, with next to no money, so I know what it's like. Feel free to contact me with offers to barter goods or services and we can probably work something out. I'm really easy going and don't get offended easily, so I hope nobody feels as if they are wasting my time contacting me. Thank you for your consideration,
Fukumistsu Noriatsu
