Cherry trees in bloom Bright and brief in their moment In this dew drop world. How I long to ambulate Beneath those gentle blossoms.

"You fought well today," He said, to my puzzlement. What was he watching? Or did he mean the battle With constant pain and myself?

Old age and the hand of man have felled twenty four cherry trees. Too old they say; and we need a bridge more than these lovely ladies.
The University of Washington Quad is famous for its cherry trees with their clouds of pink blossoms. They are a beloved by students and tourists alike. This weekend, 24 were cut down to make way for a pedestrian bridge.

Tools exercised and the fruits and frivolities of my craft before me now to demonstrate to myself how good progress feels.

The springtime blossoms are washed in the gentle rain of April showers; What beautiful sights abound Now winter's finally past?

So many frames on so many moving pictures. A wistful recount of the cycles of love and loss across sev'ral lifetimes.

Why not park yourself In the middle of the road No sign, no signal? The world revolves around you And others are but shadows.

Dancing with a drum Or wielding a sword with grace Do not come with ease. I must make up for prowess With enthusiasm.

A winter of much activity has left me with a mountain of much clean clothing no time this spring in which to iron.

Too many long nights Wearies the flickering flame Dancing on the wick; A lack of obligations Leads to dreams of peaceful rest.

How quiet it is. Windows open to the night I wait, listening. In the distance I hear the Wail of an oncoming train.
