Japan’s Mainichi Press is announcing that a sword by famed sword smith Masamune (1264–1343) has been located — the first such find in the last 150 years — and will be on display at the Kyoto National Museum in October and November. To differentiate it from other Masamune blades, it has been dubbed the Shimazu Masamune.
The sword will be exhibited at the Kyoto National Museum, from October 15 to November 16, 2014.
