beginning concept pics
I know this is a later period than my kamakura persona but this style of protection is more conducive to my shield crashing window diving melee style.
rough draft
beginning repose
styled after the microscopic research of sharkskin '
first layout
continued repose
finished
beginning kabuto
first mock up
I am going to continue posting pics on the comments as I don't want to loose this thread a second time lol .

so I have a lot of work to do on under kit and the tweaks needed to make it a super sexy kit . I will be making a tourney kit and melee kit with removable kuzasuri and sode . I will also have removable fukugeaishi for the huge dress kabuto look along with the album cover kebiki odoshi sode . after all the tweaks like correcting the hang and set of the watagami to fit correctly and adding the takehimo with the covered style watagami. I will add the kanmuri ita to the melee sode and a nice hishinui ita to the bottom of them. the small belt I attached the kusazuri to will be dyed to match and of course I have someone making silk braiding for my tourney kit but will use red paracord for melee as I tore many silk braids this war. after that is completed and im happy with the do I will move on to kote then suneate .

After painting, but before any tape or anything.

Hey Lash, that is some freakin' impressive metalwork! And not just because I am a sucker for wolf designs on armour... very nice job! I'm sure it will turn out super sexy Having quickly looked at some pictures of armour, I realized that kusazuri apparently don't *need* to be broad and overlap each other, which was the impression I had gained from Effingham-sensei's description. So I guess there's nothing that I, as a beginner, could point out to you, who has more experience anyway Keep going man!

I have been getting a razzing from some of my nihomjin friends as the wolf is not well thought of in Japanese history until I remind them that for most of my sca time I was a pariah and down right hated . I was the last pick on the dodgeball team and barely was able to attend events due to people not wanting a nihojin there . to top it off im a base low mercernary sword for hire so double doom on me lol. so I thought the wolf very fitting lol. the kusazuri are supposed to lightly touch on the last one but as I was in a hurry to hang them they are not quite even or laterally centered soon to be fixed. the work was done by douglas pryor an amazing artist and damn fine dood. www.facebook.com/douglas.pryor.7?fref=ts

Haha yeah, sounds like the wolf fits you well Yes, I assumed that you would get to work on the kusazuri hang and centering and all that anyway Wow, that Douglas dude has some nice stuff going on!
