There's an exhibition going on in my city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada from our museum, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) about "wakashu" or "beautiful youths". It discusses genderbending in Japanese society, as well.

I thought if anyone was local and hadn't heard of it, they might want to go. It's a really wonderful exhibit.
