Konnichiwa, Been lurking about for months now. Found a patter I wish to use for okegawa do, from www.sengokudaimyo.com . My question is how did anyone that has used these patterns resized them? Especially to accommodate a more robust middle section that fluctuates.

I use Adobe Acrobat and print in out using the option to span multiple pages. It adds dashed lines for you to connect everything up after printing.

Under Print, choose page handling box, change page scaling to "Tile all pages". Tile scale should be 200%. Also check the box for cut marks. You should be good after that.
