Day fades as does month. Another April challenge grinds forward to sunny May. So few days left to impress the world with my poetry.

It seems that the site was down for a bit last night when I tried posting. Here's to 04.27.18:
Slowly the wheel turns, Cool breezes laced in sunshine, Greet us each morning, Along with yellow blossoms, Buzzing with busy bumbles.

Our heroes strive on, The long game clearly afoot. Sacrifices cost. An unexpected suspense. What path leads to bright future?
[Yes, this poem is about the Avengers movie.]

Spines in tidy rows They wait for the right reader To discover them. There is no trove of treasure To compare with a bookstore.

Soon to bed I go and rest my head in slumber but first a poem. The cool night air drives my verse and is driven by warm bed.

Last day of April Bright sunrise inspires day Warm day greets the world Green world welcomes the season At last, winter feels over.

Working on tonight's poem but I realized I had a back log.
04.28.18 - Camp Fire USA memory Down by the old stream We sang our songs by starlight Built boats out of bark Leaves, flowers, and a candle To carry our wish to sea.
04.29.18 - Reflection on poetry in general Each seasonal shift Captured within these verses, Contains memories Some are sweet and some are sour Woven together with care.

Like a Spring-time storm My words poured over the page Filling in the white Like a frightening flash flood After a few months in drought.
Just as abruptly, My words will dry on the page, Where they will remain, Untouched, perhaps forgotten, Until the next storm passes.
