So the folks in Bangkok loved it but have two questions:
1) What are the weapons made of?
2) Are they hitting full force?

2 reasons I wouldn't do it.
1) I don't want to have to wear that much armor.
2) I don't think I would be comfortable fighting guys that didn't have protection on their face. I just don't want to be that guy who throws that shot on accident.
But of course that is just me personally, I think it looks great.

"is there any ..vodka drinking involved in your fighting?" During the day in most of events like that we have (not very strict, we can drink one or two beer, that's all) prohibition. After the day we often have large party for our guests, party in medieval style of course. Vodka in medieval?? No...Wine, honey, beer... It is cultural events, not a birthday of a friend. "Those guys look kinda fearless." Fearless....Nooo..Thats normal, and they are NOT drunk ;D ;D

There are distilled alcohols in the medieval period. Try some cordials.

"1) I don't want to have to wear that much armor." 30kg is to much??? Yeah, my whole suit and weapons only weighs 40 pounds (18KG) so that is a lot of armor to me. ;D I used to fight in what was called "Light Infantry" in the SCA and we used Shinai with fencing masks and light pads. There was no thrusting aloud because our armor was not set up for it, so one day off of the SCA field we decided to fight without helmets and only wore some cloth over our heads to protect against some of the impact and to keep our hair from being stuck in the bamboo. Even though no one that was fighting that day had ever thrust someone in a face while they were wearing a helmet, one of us got poked in the eye and scratched his cornea. Just thinking about what would happen if that had been live steal gives me pause. Not saying you shouldn't do it or anything, to each their own and more power to you, just saying I would have a hard time doing it.
