Hope this is the right forum to post this in, wasn't sure.
Me and a group of friends are starting a LARP group based heavily upon sengoku era japan, to hopefully use it as a "gateway drug" to get some LARPers and perhaps other danes in general interested in japanese history.
It's going to a mix of mainly historical with some fantasy elements mixed in...all clothing, armour, behavioual (sp) roleplay etc. will be as accurate as we can possibly make it.
I've run into some things I could use some assistance with though.
first we need a japanese title for the group leader.
The group backstory goes that the daimyo of the clan the group belongs to have sent a group out of their home country to try and seek out new "inventions", ideas and other things that might aid the clan's fight at home.
The leader of the group would be a form of higher standing military advicer to the daimyo (dunno if retainer or vassal would be the correct term) and I can't quite figure out what type of title this person might have.
We also need a clan name...I am aware of the naming guide on the sengoku daimyo website, but I'm not sure if that would be sufficient to construct a clan name.
Any input on this would be great.
And lastly.
We've come up with an idea to implement a morning ceremony at the start of every scenario which will act both as an ingame thing but mainly to signify "we are now incharacter" as the transition can sometimes be a bit slow.
The in-game idea is that it's something that the culture we belong to do every morning to sort of "welcome the day" (we would be on our knees and bowing, forhead touching the ground, can't remember the name of this "gesture") and we need a phrase in japanese that sort of signifies this (japanese in "our world" being an ancient, almost dead language, only used in rituals and ceremonies).
I know these requests are fairly out of the ordinary but I have no idea where to turn other wise.
Hope someone can help us out with this.
