COURT BEHAVIOR , and other subtleties .

good morning everyone
I was asked at estrella war to teach a private class on courtly behavior for a Japanese persona.
I found out I Know very little but was able to do 2 passable classes . the second being the better of the two of course haha.
I have been trying to find if anyone has done a treatise on proper behavior for SCA nihonjin .
What I mean by proper behavior includes a huge spectrum, body posture , walking , forms of address, nihonjin titles for the different royal office and officers, small talk , acceptable musical instruments, singing , eating and even things to carry with you to make an impression for court as in mats or sitting furniture.
I know that this is the SCA and most attempts are applauded but these are all questions I have been asked and I was like '' uuuuuuuhh ill find out !''
I have been asked again to do a class and this time I want to be prepared so any and all advice , information, criticisms and witty remarks will all be used in my new curriculum
And would someone please help Sainoji-Sensei off the floor ! just fan her and open a bottle of Hana she will wake up from her fainting spell!!

This is what happens when you start having pretentions of respectability, Minamoto-dono! People think you know stuff and want to lick your brains.

We'll probably see each other at an event before then, we should have a chat about it. Especially as what is "proper" varies depending on social rank and gender.
