Making kanmuri is on my long-term list of goals, but I don't have a good method or design yet. I can give you some high-res photos if you want.

You can find some places to buy kanmuri online, but you'd better be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars.

Here you can see they sell various types of accessories such as the kanmuri, though it is really expensive...
