Noble Cousin! Greetings from Solveig! The San Zi Jing ( 三字經 ) is a rather cool 'cathechism' of Confucian thought distilled into 'couplets' with lines each three kanji long. Written in the thirteenth century, it was widely popular once upon a time in China. Try looking up honchousanjikyou (本朝三字経) Incidentally, there must be a better way to do this than manually looking up unicode character codes. Isn't there a manual for this system someplace? Solveig-sensei! What I've been doing when I type 'new text' (ie ... not stuff I just cut-and-paste out of google) is to type the hiragana in a special editor ( JWPce ) which includes a dictionary lookup function. Then I can cut and paste into the text widgets on this board. I grant that it is not a very efficient process. JWPce is available here: www.physics.ucla.edu/~grosenth/jwpce.htmlThank you for the honchousanjikyou formulation!
