His Grace Andreas Eisfalke, purveyor of blinding stainless steel goodies evidently now does kabuto. To my surprise, this popped up earlier today on the SCA-West Yahoogroup. The bootlace odoshi is icky, but knowing how he builds his other armor, you could probably have someone safely drive a Peterbilt over your head while wearing it. icefalcon.safeshopper.com/24/cat24.htm?324

The helm in that picture is, in fact, the helmet I wear on my head. I had it custom ordered at Pennsic last year, and he has apparently added it to his selection. Too bad its not as shiny today...
It fits better than any helm I've ever worn, and is very durable.

Do you wear it as-is? No color?

If you dont want bare metal, stainless has to be powder coated
I checked, with icefalcon, he can get them in mild so it can just be painted.
You would mind posting some close ups of the helm? from all angles?
I may be getting one.

I replaced the lacing with blue p-cord. Other than that, yes, I wear it as is. Stainless and all. Now, I wish I had ordered a Menpo to match...
I'll get some pics up when I can...
