Greetings, I was wondering if anyone had dealt with Red Wolf Armouries located at www.redwolfarmouries.net/intro.htmlI had seen his posts here as Shijo Ichiro, and I thought he would be a safe bet. I had commissioned some items from him back in July. Originally when discussing pricing and whether I would choose him he said it would take 4 weeks. I received an email in August stating he was a little behind, and that he would be able to finish and ship by Sept. 10th. The last email I had received was on August 9th, incidentally 7 days after my check cleared. I have sent numerous/multiple emails to him, and he has replied to none since that time. I'm getting his auto reply, so I'm fairly certain that he is receiving the messages. I would care less if I had not paid 50% deposit up front. At the very least I'm a little disappointed as he is running a business, and I would expect at the least another email if there was another delay. I understand things happen, but communication is paramount in matters such as these. I have sent emails to shijo@redwolfarmouries.net and samurai_bakufu3@yahoo.com I'm sort of at my wits end as I have no means of communicating with him. I mailed him the downpayment, as well as lacing and fabric pieces for the backing to match my armor. I have his mailing address, I guess the next step is a certified letter? Any insight or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I hope this is just a simple misunderstanding. Ukyo

Sorry to hear of your troubles. May I ask how you sent payment (ie Paypal, check, etc). If you have a copy of that it would definately help your case should you need to take it to the next level.
Most definately send a certified letter and 'cc' it to his local BBB, city tax office (is he using his home as a business and not paying tax for income) attorney general and postal inspector (mail fraud).
That is of course a bit harsh, I would give him the first chance to make it right via a nicely worded certified letter, but also insist that he has x number of days to either send you the product or a refund before you take legal action.
In your letter send copies of all communications that you have thusfar with a brief synopsis of what has happened:
- On May 15th I inquired about <product>
- On May 16th You said that if I pay $32.50 down you would begin construction
- On Jun 1st I sent payment (attached copy of check)
- On Jun 9th You emailed stating that construction has begun and further stated that I would have the <product> by no later than July 1st.
etc...
People like this hurt the reputable armourers out there.

Thank you for the reply....
I advised him of the different methods of complaint filing I had used last night. This morning he actually emailed me today and apologized for the delay, stating that he would finish up shortly and that he had fallen ill.
I hope that this resolves amicably.
