Otagiri-dono,
I see you are bidding on this eBay yumi.
I have one of Ken Burch's yumi's. He does very nice work, you would not regret owning this bow. I have tried to get him off eBay and market directly to Japanese re-inactors... ah well.
The only other thing I can tell you is that it may be rated a little on the heavy side. Mine was also listed as 40# draw at 32". In reality, it's probably 35# @ 32". That's OK, I still like the bow!
Good luck on your acquisition!

Got two more I have my eye on, one is up mighty soon here, but the one I want is still up and in my price range for a few days. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7172880555 * Though wondering if it's worth my while just to give up on these and buy one at Pennsic, as I have plans to do so anyway? Or are these better than the ones offered by Jaap K? Nagamochi * moderator edit to shorten url

I doubt very much that these are better than Jaap's. His reputation is very, very good.
Also note that this yumi is all hardwood - no bamboo. Which may or may not be important to you.

I'm unsure of the finer points between bamboo and hardwood yumi, except that a bamboo one requires more maintainence, hopefully not too much. Though might I ask what the differences are, above and beyond bamboo being more historically accurate?
