Ok folks, I sent a medium Okashi-dou to the powder-coater's today. If anyone is seriously interested in this dou please contact me ASAP (i.e. before I lace it, beginning Friday) to discuss lace colors.
This is the dou I posted progress pics of under "in the pipeline". It is 1mm s55c spring steel. Correct weight and perfect for an ashigaru or low-ranking samurai portrayal.

Correction. The dou is NOT available. Due to warpage during the baking session, I will have to make a new back and front to match the ones I have now which no longer match.
Folks THIS is why spring steel is twice the cost.

I know that the old rule says if you have to ask how much, chances are you can't aford it.... but (taking into consideration spring steel costing twice as much) I beg the question....how much? humbly Takamori

Sakurai,
Honestly, I'll have to finish the new pieces before I can set the prices. Prior to warpage, the plan was $600.
