Will anyone be attending Estrella war 2006? If so, perhaps we can form a Tousando Unit for one of the open field battles. Clan Kitemitsu would gladly join. It would also be a good opportunity for some, such as myself, to meet and learn from others who have taken to the road less traveled in the SCA. Just an idea, if anyone is interested, I think we could do quite an amount of damage on the field.

Takeda-dono:
It is my intent to be at Estrella. But it is also possible that I will have duties in Nevada that may make it impossible to attend.
I will be fighting with my Barony, unless my knight takes to the field, in which case I will be at his side naturally. However, there are several ressurection battles and I would be happy to lend my spear to Kitemitsu for a time. You are also welcome to spend as much time as you like in my camp. Saionji-hime brought up the possibility of a Tousando meeting/party/get-together during one of the evenings. Is there an evening that would work for you.

so dry ...
...
Dudes! You're welcome to come over and fight and party with me and mine any time. I'm afraid I cannot come formally to fight with the Kitemitsu (I have duties elsewhere), but there are plenty of res battles where we can mix it up.
WAR!

It would be my pleasure to join you for a skirmish or two in one of the res battles. Simply look for the tallest Samurai on the field. And the gates of Kyuden Kitemitsu lie open as well to all who wish to come and enjoy some warm Sake by the fire.

WHAT? ? I don't suppose it'll help if I pout at your employer? Yes, that goes for everybody! I'll be watching the war website to see what the official schedule looks like as it starts to take shape. A headcount and input on your plans will help us figure out when to try to do this. Saionji no Hanae

Is Kitemitsu West out of Tir Ysgithr? Were you guys at Estrella in 2004? White Pickle Barrel Armor? No, KW is from the Barony of Atenveldt, in the Kingdom of Atenveldt. Located directly in the middle of Phoenix. Yes, we were at Estrella in 2004. The fighter in White pickle barrel may have been Hikayama Shinji, a good friend of mine. Should he be the gentleman you are mentioning, I'll be sure he swings by your camp should you be able to attend. Where will your camp be, and what does it look like, so we know where to drop off tidings of Chi-zu?

I've just submitted a class description to the Collegium contact.
"Hokku's grandfather, Waka witnesses fleeting Moments of beauty. In thirty-one syllables A vast ocean is distilled.
Before the heyday of haiku, there was the wonder of waka. Learn the basics of this unrhymed metrical Japanese poetic form and try your hand at the poetry games of the Emperor’s court. Attendees should bring a writing instrument."
Details on when to be posted when I know them.

I will try to set something up but it may be hard since I don't know if I want to Give up all of my exemtions to my final exam in my Senior year. At the very least I will miss Friday and be up there. Any way to know where you will be camping when you make a reservation. I am sorry if these are stupid questions to ask but my naiveness tends to show.

School comes first. We understand. When you preregister they ask what group you're camping with. You should check and see if there's anyone from your area going and see if you can team up with them. They can give you a better idea than I can. Unfortunately the site map only shows land allocations for the "principal" kingdoms and I don't know where they put the Ansteorrans. The West (where I camp) is usually in Caidan territory. If we end up in the same spot again, I camp with the "East West Insurance Company" (long stupid story) and we're usually about a block south of the battlefield. www.estrellawar.org/S.

The whole school thing could be fixed with some charm and promising, oh, and definitely some luck.
Too bad it is 18+ other wise I would attend
I am trying now to see who is going in our area to see if we can split gas money otherwise i will be sleeping in my car ^^
No i'll just have to work some extra hours and get some more money together.
