Outrunning a gaigen in geta ;D I shouldn't giggle about a cart though.. I may be in one in a few years (the surgeon still think I should be ina chair while I can walk I will darnit!) Mieka

I was not aware I was being photographed, so I honestly can't be certain what I was thinking at that moment. As I am not visibly holding the wind whipped ends of a royal banner to keep it from taking someone's eye out, court had not started and I was probably just trying to avoid the late afternoon sun's attempts to poke me in the eye despite my veiled hat and wondering just how long Their Majesties are going to keep us all waiting.
With my luck, I'd put a foot in a gopher hole, provoking a great deal of gaijin guffawing at my expense.

Murphys Law.... (is there a Japanese version? I wonder...)
Still was fun wondering... doesn't make up for not being able to *go* but the stories are at least amusing.
I've already heard one about some G-Ded Jap Nut with a short blade getting a local guy in the armpit as he was about to smite the guy with his glaive. But the guy I heard it from is one who likes to think legged = dead so I was NOT GIGGLING as I heard him telling about being rudely disabused of THAT notion.

Jehanne...do not be afraid to give up the ghost, dear lady...i think you have an inner-child screaming for attention... i respect you and bow to your western understanding...but come on... You seem to romp better in kosode...silk is your way...
(Please forgive me...my left shift-key, which I use habitually because i cannot type properly <<but you should see me on a hiragana enabled 10-key>> seems to be reluctant...therefore I often type i instead of I...)

Otagiri-dono... Was that heavy...Or did you just push it for "Shiro-jin"? (Whitey) Date
Otagiri-dono..."i think that huge and impressive siege tower that you spent so much time on - it might fit over here...let me help...' Otagiri-dono..."Nope...i don't see your contact lenses, Sir Respected Helm...but I will push this thirteen hundred pound tower with ease for you..." Sir Respected Helm..."Thank you Japanese guy...you have made my Western Medieval Reproduction experience so much nicer...but you can never register your proper Japanese arms in my manner...TTFN" um...just playing... Date, who has pushed many towers...

It's probably just one of the monkeys. Er, you should probably ask Otagiri-dono. He's actually met both of me. S.

Another fine portrait of Our Moderator in his traditional mode - from the back and 100' away..... Roswitha and Katherine were plotting to try to steal that monster and throw a party in it, but I don't think they managed to pull it off. S.

Otagiri-dono..."Nope...i don't see your contact lenses, Sir Respected Helm... Ha! I'm a damn fine contact locator! What I noticed first about the pictue is that I appear to be growing a tonsure.

I develop a "skunk stripe" about once a month. I shudder to think just what my real hair color must be these days, but I'm not quite ready to admit defeat.....

(Voiceover by Allyson Hannigan) "And then? One time at Estrella? I, like, stole this siege tower?"

Kitemitsu-uji have posted their Estrella XXII pics. Many of them came all the way from Atlantia. Looked like I misssed a torchlight tourney. kitemitsu.org -> Pictures -> 2006 Events -> Estrella War I really enjoyed seeing these guys on the field. They always had a great spirit about them almost as if they were having fun! Even the several times they were killing me ...

I'm seeing a lot of West Kingdom arm-bands (yellow with green demi-suns), some of the Tribe Rotmane boys - the big one has to be Gunther (black shields with yellow Norse serpenty beasts) and one of the Argent Angels.....
Heh, like you didn't have fun....
