Greetings, all.
I have moved to the D.C. greater metropolitan area. Is anyone in the area holding any sort of hanami? It would be a shame to let the petals fall without getting drunk in public, eating cold yakitori, and singing karaoke. Or we could just meet, wander around, look at the sakura (each one of of them perfect, of course...).
My group will be demonstrating jodo, iai, tanjo, and kusarigama at the Sakura Matsuri next Saturday, April 8th, at about 2pm, if anyone is interested.

I've been thinking of doing something although it's been busy--we could coordinate something: We could probably at least get my wife and Takeda-dono involved.
Unfortunately, our own blossoms bloomed just as the sows returned--we had a brief 'kohaku-sen' before it was all gone.
What are you thinking? A little sake party out amongst the blossoms (oh, wait, no alcohol allowed on the Park grounds in DC.... sigh). Well, we could do like last year and do a tour of the blossoms and then retreat to another setting for the refreshments (or just no alcohol).

This doesn't seem to have worked out for this year.
Perhaps we can keep it in mind for next year, though, and have a nice get-together.
And let's not forget ŒŽŒ© (tsukimi)@in autumn.
