I received a flier from my Japanese language sensei informing us about a Noh performance at Wellesley College on February 25th, at 3 pm, in the Jewett Arts Center. Tickets are $20, possibly free for students with ID. The play will be Aoi no Ue, which seems to be very similar to the Genji chapter of the same name (Aoi), in which Genji's first wife Aoi is tormented by the vengeful spirit of Lady Rokujo, Genji's love affair. Just thought this might be of interest to North Eastern Tousando travellers.

I actually just placed some posters for that up at my school. I'll be there, and (fingers crossed) I'll be able to go to the workshop and learn something!

Supposedly there's a workshop with the main actor. At least, that's what the Japan Society of Boston at the sponsoring professor say. I'm waiting to hear back from the student liason to see if non-Wellesley students can attend the workshop. I'll certainly PM you what I find out, Noriko, if you'd like.

Actually, I checked the Wellesley website and I think the workshop is only open to students of that school. If you hear otherwise though, please send me a PM.
