But do you have a vehicle to haul it with? (I have some rather exciting memories of pulling a trailer with my little Toyota pick-up.)
Ooh, that Chinese tea house one is gorgeous. And of course, I am looking forward to seeing Saiako-hime's yashiki in person.
Not Japanese in the slightest, but I have to say I've been very happy with Jehanne's wedge tent. Plenty roomy for me and my gear, performs well in the rain and most importantly, I can set it up and tear it down by myself without spending the entire event doing so.

This one's just a cube with a curved roof. www.koicymru.co.uk/tea1.htmBut yeah, a quick Google showed a lot of otherwise simple structures with roof shapes that are going to be tricky....

My favorite Japanese style buildings don't necessarily have the complex bracketing and upcurved corners on the roof, but maybe as complex as a hipped-gabled roof (at the baseball field in town, they gave this kind of roof to the restrooms ). I've seen "pseudo-temple" style roofs on houses around town that are hipped-gabled, but have wood shingles stacked on the corners to create an upsweep. One of the houses in town has that, along with a garden wall with a small double pitched roof, and a gate that looks like it could lead into a Japanese garden.

For those of you that don't know he is the one that I am helping into his armor in this picture... I wish that I would be going as well but I am going to be stuck in this desert.

Saionji-hime,
I'm a bit late in reading it, but I would like to extend an invitation for you to visit Kaminari at Pennsic. I'm sorry that Date won't be there, as it would be wonderful to have all the recipients of your sake gift available to reciprocate. Perhaps Sir Ogami, Otagiri-dono, and myself can make amends, though I am crossing my fingers that Date might reconsider missing out.

In fact, please let me extend an invitation for everyone, who is coming to War, to visit our encampment at E03 (a hop, skip, and a jump from the food court).

Date-dono has already conveyed his regrets to me privately, but I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I will be with the Kingdom of the West over in W03 next to Outlands. Hanae

I'll bounce in again to Yama Kaminari, of course of course.
Me y'all will probably see on the field before you see me in camp, but if you need me, look me up in N21, camping with Wasserwulf/VonGrunwald

I'll bounce in again to Yama Kaminari, of course of course. (Ah, to be young and full of bounce....) Horn and Crown (the folks I used to camp with) traditionally camp up N21-way, so I'll have to look around for you. (Now, where did I put my pink rhinestone flipflops and Hello Kitty yukata?)

Reoga-dono, you and I met at the Chinese New Year party at Estrella. Finding Clan Yama Kaminari: (a) The red and white sashimono will help you find them on the field. www.yamakaminari.com/SashimonoTheater/sashimono_theater_002.html (b) Keep your ears open for taiko drums. (c) You will get a site map with your Pennsic book, but there's one online: land.pennsicwar.org/maps/I've already printed one out and am putting notes on it as to who's where....
