And, yes, Otagiri dono is very charming. For a bushi. It's a complete eye-bleeder, but it IS warm.

Tousando party at Estrella??!! Slow down, tomodachi! What part of "possible" did you not understand? If we make this happen, I promise we'll keep folks posted. ;D We'll make it happen. With the caveat that the "I" in "we" only occurs with a favorable work schedule. One of the things I learned at Pennsic this year is that oatmeal, diet dew, and ramen - while perfectly adequate in keeping me fed - does not make decent party fare.

Yeah, you need a jar of peanut butter and a family sized box of Reduced Fat Wheat Thins to really put on the dog.

Lord knows that we bring enough sake!

I'm toying with the idea of going down to Great Western War in October (near Bakersfield, CA). Anybody want to get together there? Hmmm.... October.... Near Bakersfield.... Hmmm Might just be close enough to drag out the toys... ;D Katayama

WOOT! Yesterday's run to the fabric store was a bust for dye remover because the Beverly's on Alameda pretty much sucks. I made a detour to the JoAnn's in Emeryville this evening and picked up some Carbona Color Run Remover. My white linen kosode is now white once more.

Well, the pictures have started going online. Here are a few I like: Who is this guy? Scary stuff! Don't you just love how Otagiri totally has the Japanese silhouette down? These are taken from: sca.trmilne.com/photos/pennsic36.html

That is über close sugake hishinui if ever I saw it...man I wish that was laced in hon kebiki odoshi manner! I see, from foreground left to middle right...Otagiri-dono, Last Reign's Queen Morgan, Sir Magnus and it looks like Hachiro-dono... What we don't see is the swath they likely cut to get there! ;-) Date

Who has that stainless steel Mempo in the top picture? Not my work, but very nicely done. I'm with Date, that would be even better if the the lacing was kebiki.

Not pictures, but my man Dag has video from the Warriors of History Tourney introductions up on YouTube. Some great kits in there. Then there's mine. Goddamn gaijin clamshells. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Higpmx-HwQM
