For those in Atlantia, I'm hoping to give a class on my research of Ryori Monogatari to date at the upcoming Atlantian University (Feb 2, 2008). I put in a proposal for the class, but I'll have to wait to see if it gets accepted as an individual class.
I'm curious, as I put together handouts and pamphlets--what do people want to know about Ryori Monogatari (beyond just getting recipes)?

Ii dono! Greetings from Solveig! I'm curious, as I put together handouts and pamphlets--what do people want to know about Ryori Monogatari (beyond just getting recipes)? Ahh, considering that the original text doesn't have much more than classified recipes and an end note, I would think that you should probably concentrate on the recipes. However, there are things that you should explain: 1. Cooking techniques. 2. Structure of the meal (if you have gotten into this - however it is not actually in Ryori Monogatari it's in another text next to Ryori Monogatari in ZGR 19-GE. 3. The social relationships connected to specific sections such as the section on "sakana" (snacks to be eaten with sake). 4. Seasonality of menu and ritual aspects of food. (Again if you have gotten into this as well, as this is not directly in Ryori Monogatari either.)
