It doesn't look terribly familiar. I'll see what I can find out. Can you give me the sentence it's in? (e.g., is it being used as a noun or a verbal noun?)
Just going from the literal look, I'd *think* it was "original bend/curve" -- but that's a guess off the top of my head. I'd think it would be "hontou"....

Putting on my Moderator hat, I need to remind everyone that no post may be entirely in Japanese. I recognize that the above is just a couple of Japanese kanji quoted for definition - but when doing so, please add a little english describing what it might be or where it came from or some other context for the quote.
The number one reason why the meta-moderators (ProBoards staff itself) closes boards is for violations of the foreign language clause of the Terms Of Service.
I know it might be a pain now and then, but please abide by the above guideline.

Ah. Thought so.
That's not the word "–{š" -- it's "“ñ–{ š" -- two zig-zags, or two bent lines.
