Just spotted these on eBay. Both are out of print and well worth owning! Amanda Meyer Stinchecum's Kosode: 16th-19th Century Textiles from the Nomura Collection. Mine! Mine! Mine! No, really, I just bought it and makiwara-hime is right, it is a good book at a good price.

Japanese Costume and Textile Arts is also available through Alibris and might be a better buy there since the eBay listing is an auction and the price may go up considerably. The Kosode book was at a better price on eBay.

I did include the average running price for Noma in my original post so people would have an idea what constituted a reasonable price on it.
I cannot recommend these books highly enough. Noma's Japanese Costume and Textile Arts is an excellent overview of period garment styles, particularly if you are just getting started and trying to develop an eye for them.
Stinchecum's Kosode not only contains some great color plates of period and post-period garments preserved in the Nomura collection (some by mounting on screens!), the appendices in the back on weaves, vegetable dyes, glossary and so forth are textile geek heaven!
