Here it is, finally finished! I still don't FULLY understand how to use the strings on the side....is it 2 strings, is it a loop and string or what? I've seen lots of different variations....is there an actual answer? The suit fits nicely, I just didn't put on on obi, so it swings outward a bit. Hope you all enjoy! Also, I realize the back tatage is supposed to mimic the front...but I wanted to do something different. (sorry Eff..not following convention....) However, it is my school colors...and I think I really like the pattern...besides on the field, I don't think many people will nit pick it... Cheers~! ~Honda Augustine Minamoto

Well sh*t. That's some damn fine lacing! Kudos, Augustine. Beautiful pattern/color choice, and superb execution. Damn.
What did you have to do to shape the door edging?

That's gorgeous.
I used 3/16" ABS for my plates, and I can't find any door trim that fits that thick of an edge. I bought some anyway... maybe it'll soften enough under a heat gun to fit it on.

Hey wow - that is absolutely sweet - almost a shame to get it whacked in combat!
I know that if I was on the field fighting, I would have to work dang hard to avoid stopping to admire that armour AND the lacing (now I know how much work it is!) I'd probably get hit for gawking!
I think the sides should overlap more and consistently (just going from my interpretation of Effinghams website) and I kinda thought that one side had a hinge and the right side did all the overlapping...
maybe putting an obi on will make a difference as well

Nice work!! Good shape of fukurin! If it helps...I am ussing brass tube for fukurin : You can easily buy in a plumbing or bricolage store...cut it along using small gadget machine (dremel or something similar) or tin scissors. They way you cut it...will determine how hard (or how easy) you will find to put it on the right way....straight is not always the best choice Best Regards

Majorly sweet. (Yeah, different top back is officially a no-no, but the rest of it makes me so happy I can't complain. )
