I was approached not long ago about teaching at Collegium Caidis the weekend of 9/19/09 (Torrance, CA).
The reason I'm writing this has to do with my teaching track record at various events. Last week I offered five classes at West Kingdom A&S. I ended up only teaching two due to lack of student interest. Given the niche I occupy that's outstanding and a lot better than last year when I offered two classes at Great Western War and nobody showed up for either of those.
Are there any members of this forum who ARE planning on attending either Collegium Caidis or Great Western War in October? Would you be interested in classes? Poetry? Garb? Paint bucket taiko? Persona?
Your assistance will make my planning and decision-making go easier.

I have just received word from my correspondent for Collegium Caidis that they have accepted my offer to teach beginner taiko (Saturday) and an overview of period Japanese dress (Sunday).
I have also sent proposals for the same two classes to the Great Western War organizers and been informed they want them. More on when and where as I find out.

Because the wife and I are not going to be able to get out to San Fran to see the Asian Exhibit, due to her being due to deliver our daughter late in August, we were thinking of a trip to Great Western if both of the women in my life are ready to travel by then. I haven't been to the event in almost 10 years and I remember loving it.
I will let you know if I think we can do this. ;D
