Life in late Sengoku

I have come to realize that I know relatively little about the Sengoku era (1550 to 1580) from which I my persona comes. What can you recommend me for reading to better grasp the court and everyday life of a Bushi from that time period?

Is this book Period, by looking at the cover Id say Edo period, but does anyone know for sure?

According to a review on amazon it is Edo period . I've paged through it at the bookstore and put it back on the shelf since it looked all post period to me.
