Where were Masahide and Yamamoto? I missed them somehow. Alas... I was unable to answer the call of our king, as myself and my household have been fighting off an outbreak of plague. Our priest divined that it was due to a failing with certain purification rituals, and commanded us to meditate on the sutras..... Masahide

Wow, I didn't think that one you took of me had a CHANCE of coming out. And the red-eye is highly suitable for telling creepy ghost stories. ;-> (I really need to sit down and repad my kite, er, I mean hat.)
The ones of Ryokai and Ruri came out great, but your "Gorillas" are too far away. ;-< Your exploding haybale rain cape deserves a better photo! (That is so freakin' cool!)

The Wal-mart camera did okay. The prints of you, however, picked up much more red than the jpg shows - I was worried. Still, the daylight photo you linked looked better. Good help is hard to bribe. I thought the photo taker seemed far away. Now that I have my new camera, I will try to get Donna to snap a few of me with the mino.

Maybe we should start calling you onimama. Oh, terrific. Hmmm, I've never tried eating a soul. Is it anything like maguro? Still, the daylight photo you linked looked better. My roommate, the one who shot the photos for "Kosode Made Simple" has offered to do some new ones of me in the target kosode as soon as we both have time on a nice weekend to do so. Now that I have my new camera, I will try to get Donna to snap a few of me with the mino. Cool. You're going to have so much FUN with your digital. M.

Kappa-don
Two cups washed, long grain sticky rice, steamed 1/2 teaspoon Dashi 1/2 teaspoon Gome 2 tablespoons "Karmic Wasabi" one sheet of Nori cut to size. one or more souls (one soul typically feeds one and a half oni) Sweet pickled ginger
Steam rice as appropriate. Blanch souls in boiling water from seven hells, and lay on sushi style rolling mat to dry. Roll into palm sized shapes and run once through roaster, like one does for unagi don. Put steamed rice in bowl, lay roasted soul on top, sprinkle with Dashi and Gome, and put a big wad of Karmic Wasabi on the side. Garnish with Pickled sweet ginger. Serve by candle light.
Great pics by the way...I miss Estrella... Date

Your helping! I suppose one should wear the candles upon one's head like the murderer in the first "Onmyoji."
Geez, you guys! ;->

No misty gorillas, but a coupla kings, babies and a groundhog.... Here's some from the West Kingdom's history website. Many of you may already have seen the ones of me on my website. history.westkingdom.org/Year39/Photos/EstrellaWar.htmAnd as for having fun experimenting with a new camera, may I say I was tickled to see that the firelight shot I took actually came out!
