Thus it befell that I received several parcels of books, with the understanding that I could find good homes for anything I did not wish to keep.

Sorry, long gone. In fact all of them have found homes. The good news is that the Carter anthology is a paperback edition that's reasonably affordable and easy to get hold of, if you want to find it elsewhere.
