Thank you for that suggestion. I actually thought that had already happened, but after checking, it has not. I am at work now, and will take care of that when I get home. Thank you again.

i strongly encourage not using electric tape in this reply i will show u a link were u can buy itto and sagao. the problem with electric tape is how slippery it can be or if its raining its even worse! its not hard to tie itto in the battle wrap but with work anyone can tie it. www.swordnarmory.com/Sword-Parts-s/343.htm

The problem with using actual ito is that our rattan wasters tend not to be very long-lived. A proper wrap is a many-hour investment of time, and a several-dollar investment in ito, for a waster that probably won't last six months for the average SCA combatant.

I've had good luck with baseball-bat tape; other people have mentioned hockey stick tape. I imagine tennis racket tape would also work well. The trick is getting the twist in it without turning it into a sticky mess. 8)
