I am getting ready to register my name, and am having an issue proving Jubei in period. I have Yagyuu, and Takeyoshi, but I cannot find any reference to jubei. Am I out of luck or will it matter?
The name I am going for is Yagyuu Jubei Takeyoshi
Thanks

For the record, you do realize that using "Yagyu Jûbei" in your name is the equivalent of trying to register "Abraham Carl Lincoln" or "William Dale Shakespeare" and hoping that the middle name (in this case the Takeyoshi part) makes no one see the elephant on the name sheet, right?
Given that Yagyu Jubei was born in 1607, he falls within the CoA's 50-year window of registered name use, so the name should be fine.

I do. Though I was under the impression that I was using a last and middle name, and changing the first. If it is the other way around I will I will change the first name. I'm trying to fudge without hurting anyone's head too badly ;D
His full name was Yagyu Jubei Mitsuyoshi, (looking at it now, I am going to redo takeyoshi, that is closer that I was trying to go for) Is the name set up last first middle? I thought It was last middle first. Though I suppose it really doesn't matter.

Noble Cousin!
Greetings from Solveig! I think that the point that Baron Effingham was making is that you appear to be trying to appropriate the name of a famous person. This is generally speaking a big no-no in the Society.
As for the structure of names in question. The structure is:
Yagyū Jūbei Mitsuyoshi <family name> <yobina> <nanori>
The general order of slotting things is correct. Let's use the descriptive terms above as they are less confusing than saying things like "first name" and "last name".
You really should replace both Jubei and Mitsuyoshi in the name. If you want to show some sort of relationship, then you can be something other -yoshi for your nanori. Just not Mitsuyoshi. Takeyoshi does that for you. Now just change replace Jubei and you will be fine. Jubei is just too unusual and specific to the individual in question.
