Some additional information. While the blazon pattern search form will get you all instances of the word you type in, it will miss other charges that may conflict with whatever you are searching for (I think there are some twenty different words for various canines, for instance -- searching on "dog" won't get you "talbot", or "hound" or "mastiff" or whatever. For conflict checking, it is recommended to use the categories in the ordinary - oanda.sca.org/ordinary/index.html - which will group similar items together. In this instance, dragonflies appear to be in a class by themselves, but for future reference.... :^) For items in the pipeline, try oscar.sca.org/, which has the advantage of showing you the line drawings as well. For that one, you will have to search on various terms -- dragonfly, dragonflies, etc.

Ohayo Gozaimasu! I was thinking the below 2 would be the easiest to Blazon... Please make any suggestions or corrections as I will attempt to emblazon it. Sable, a Dragonfly Bendwise Argent, A Dragonfly Bendwise Sinister Argent, a Dragonfly In Base Argent, all within an Annulet Argent Would this work, or would I need to add them conjoined or add positions of them? Thank you for your time and consideration, and please excuse my Ignorance. }:-) -Domo Arigato!

Sable, a Dragonfly Bendwise Argent, A Dragonfly Bendwise Sinister Argent, a Dragonfly In Base Argent, all within an Annulet Argent Sable, three dragonflies argent in pall, tails to center, within an annulet argent. If you're submitting it as a badge, the tails would need to be conjoined, but if it's going as a device, no. At least that's how I understand it. (Any heralds out there???)

I think you only need to conjoin things if you are using a fieldless background. Otherwise, I don't see any reason that you would need to conjoin them.

Noble Cousins!
Greetings from Solveig! The Rules for Submission of the College of Arms makes it a bit easier to pass fieldless badges than either a device/arms or a badge with a field. Unfortunately, a fieldless badge needs to be conjoined as the theory is that it would be cast out of a single piece of metal.

I was thinking a device, not a badge, since I have a Sable Comet of ansteorra already. That way I could get it registered. :-)
