So, I know it is early, but for many Pennsic planning is in full swing. What would you like to see at Pennsic in terms of classes? Some ideas:
1) Japanese names and how to choose them. 2) Classes on specific areas of Japanese history 3) Japanese clothing 4) Japanese historical martial arts 4a) Martial arts seminars 4b) Discussion of budo in Japanese history 4c) Regular Japanese weapons classes 4d) Tameshigiri/shizan class (actually cutting rolled tatami omote) 5) Japanese food and/or tea ceremony 6) Japanese religion and philosophy 7) Japanese poetry 8) Other??
I was particularly wondering if anyone would want to try a "samurai school" type setup, to see if we could fill a week, at least, with a daily schedule of:
- Martial Arts - A&S class(es) - Martial Arts - Lunch - Martial Arts - A&S class(es) - Martial Arts
I'm just concerned that if we don't get enough teachers, it would be hard on people to try to keep to that schedule with everything else that goes on, and I don't know how much people would want to commit to something like that, but it would be neat to try a traditional samurai educational program.

Creating a mon / heraldry and working that into a japanese persona
Japanese names, first name creating with some examples to choose from maybe
Other ceremony classes, or how they could be used in the SCA or households
Maybe a breakdown of different possible Japanese personas, monks, merchants, samurai, etc.
Martial arts, footwork. breathing, actual SCA fighting wih Japanese flair.
I really enjoyed your class I took last year.

The only question is which week(s) of Pennsic would these classes be? I wouldn't want you to cater to me but I know I'm only going for the second week of Pennsic.
That being said i personally would like classes on Japanese clothing, discussion of budo in Japanese History, Tamshigiri/Shizan class, and classes on specific areas of Japanese history. But I love the options all so much so its difficult for me to choose. But if most of the teachers are not opposed to me picking their brains outside of class- I'll probably miss some of the classes since I'll be out on the battlefield for most of the event.
