Hey everyone, I'm going to be starting on the belted Kusazuri soon. First question is easy...does the belt go all the way around the do at the bottom, and open on one side...the same side as the do opens on? Or, is the "belt" actually two seperate pieces of belting, that attaches to the front and back, but isn't one long piece? Second, because my armour is a low-mid ranked Samurai armour, the kusazuri lacing is kebiki odoshi, which is the more involved type. But I'm not sure how that translates to the actual lames of the kusazuri. Most kusazuri I've seen will have many suspensory laces from the belt to the top plate, but then appear to go into a sparce-point lacing system on the actual plates themselves (see pic). I actually like this style, but I'm confused a bit. Does the lacing type simply refer to how many cords extend from the belt to the top of the plate?

The belt can do by dividing into two or leave as a whole. It's depends on you. If you are doing a low-mid samurai armor, I think it's better lace on sugake odoshi for kusazuri.
