linkHow awesome is this? Apparently just out of period (17th century). Can't seem to directly link the image, but it is a kabuto in the shape of a crouching rabbit. The shikoro is pretty schmexy, too.

What might the holes on the underside of the koshimaki be used for? Might this piece have been modified from it's original form?

What might the holes on the underside of the koshimaki be used for? Might this piece have been modified from it's original form? I was thinking that the holes were for the helmet liner (ukibari).
