Hello I have listed a set of samurai armor on ebay under "Japanese Samurai armor, Yoroi, Kote, Suneate, Sode" by seller Fudoshinken. If anyone is interested in a buy it now, here is a brief of listing. This Japanese crimson armor is based on the armor of the Warlord Kai Takeda. His elite troops wore dark red armor to resemble cinnabar, a mineral used to show luxury. Takeda's army became known as the red army due to troops all wearing this color of armor into battle on the field. This yukino-shita do is made of 12 iron lames riveted with black lacing and brass fittings lacquered in Crimson red. The Do has 5 plate kusazuri suspended to protect the upper thighs. The Do (chest) also has a Tate-eri ( padded neck guard) and interior is lined with suede. The Armored Kote sleeves are semi old, maybe from the Showa period 1926 to later they are from Japan. They are padded brocade with motif of flower and tendril with iron chain mail and plate with great finish no scratches. The Sode shoulder plates are made of steel and black lacing as well the Suneate shin guards. The armor can be worn and the Kote sleeves are 28" long from shoulder to end knuckle. Priced at $625
