Noble Cousins!
Greetings from Sólveig! As you may have heard, I am now officially part of the "leafy club". Members are generally expected to leave tokens of appreciation at A&S exhibitions and to hand them out to people who have impressed you in one way or another. Unfortunately, I don't make anything which is an easy candidate. I mostly do "research" and writing. I also practice a number of intangible arts such as tea ceremony, incense ceremony, and poetry composition. Calligraphy is also at best a difficult art form to bestow on people on an ad-hoc basis.
Consequently, I am appealing to you folks for suggestions as to what would be: authentic, appropriate, appreciated, and also not break the bank. That is a tough combination.
Thank you very much for any suggestions you make. I may modify or combine them. They may even simply help my imagination. Just about any suggestion would be helpful at this point. Unfortunately, I do not have a ready source for Japanese handicrafts. Also, I probably can not afford them.
